RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 23, 2024 ~ Nutrient, formerly known as PSPDFKit, has announced its rebranding as a leading document processing technology and workflow automation platform. This comes after a strategic investment from global software investor Insight Partners in 2021, which allowed Nutrient to acquire document processing technology from industry leaders ORPALIS, Aquaforest, and Muhimbi, as well as the complementary workflow automation platform Integrify.
With the integration of these acquired companies, Nutrient is now able to offer a cohesive portfolio of solutions that enhance, secure, and accelerate innovation in an organization's document ecosystem. In today's fast-paced world, documents continue to be the foundational medium for exchanging and recording knowledge. However, they are often limited by outdated constraints and use cases from the '90s. Nutrient aims to change this by evolving the way people experience and interact with documents.
Jonathan Rhyne, co-founder and CEO of Nutrient, stated that their mission is to provide developers and IT professionals with modern document tools that can deliver on the promise of digital transformation. By utilizing Nutrient's software development kits (SDKs), product leaders and developers can create seamless, secure, and scalable document experiences. These SDKs offer a range of functionalities such as viewing, signing, form filling, conversion, generation, authoring, and more for web, mobile, server or cloud-based applications.

Moreover, Nutrient also offers a Workflow Automation Platform that enables organizations to streamline document workflows and scale operations with off-the-shelf low-code solutions and backend automation. This platform is easy to implement and use for IT leaders and citizen developers alike.
Klaudyna Szpara from Box praised Nutrient's document processing technology for accelerating their PDF previewing capabilities in the Box mobile app. This helped them achieve their mobile UX goals months earlier than planned.
Currently powering thousands of global organizations including 15% of Global 500 brands across 80 nations and over 130 public sector organizations in 24 countries, Nutrient has a wide customer base spanning various industries. From architecture, construction, and engineering to finance, healthcare, and software as a service, Nutrient's solutions cater to the needs of almost every vertical industry.
According to Stax, a market-leading consulting firm, the total addressable U.S. commercial market for document developer tools is estimated to be nearly $1.9 billion in 2022 - a significant increase from 2019. This growth is driven by new use cases and the accelerated shift towards digital documents. Stax also projected that meeting the needs of all B2B document developer tools could potentially double the total addressable market, further strengthening Nutrient's position in the market.
