MOUNT AIRY, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Renowned actor Daniel Roebuck, beloved for his versatile performances in film and theater, continues to capture the holiday spirit in new and exciting ways. This year, Roebuck has achieved a "Christmas hat trick," portraying Santa Claus in the much-anticipated horror film Terrifier 3, starring as Saint Nick in the heartwarming Saint Nick of Bethlehem, and stepping back into the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in the timeless classic A Christmas Carol at the Andy Griffith Playhouse in Mount Airy, N.C.
Roebuck's theatrical journey with holiday tales dates back to Miracle on 9th Street, his first produced play, which paid homage to Miracle on 34th Street. His Christmas-themed credits have since expanded to include co-producing and starring in the animated film Christmas is Here Again and a memorable role opposite Grumpy Cat in Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever.

"From the very beginning, I knew Daniel Roebuck had to be our Santa Claus for Saint Nick of Bethlehem." Says Spencer Folmar, co-writer and co-director of the film, " His ability to bring authenticity, warmth, and a touch of humanity to every role he plays is unmatched. Daniel embodies the heart and soul of Saint Nick—a man of conviction, kindness, and love for his community. There was no second choice; he was perfect to bring this heartfelt story to life."
"Christmas stories have always resonated with me," Roebuck said. "They offer a blend of hope, redemption, and nostalgia that never fails to connect with audiences."
Fans can experience Roebuck's portrayal of Scrooge in Mount Airy from Dec. 13-20. The production, directed by Tyler Matanick and presented by the Surry Arts Council, promises a fresh yet faithful take on Dickens' classic tale.
