The Soul Picnic and Let's Get Social Raleigh are collaborating to revolutionize the conversation around mental health and physical well-being, empowering individuals to take charge of their health.

Recent statistics reveal alarming rates of health issues like high blood pressure and diabetes within the African American community, contributing significantly to higher levels of heart disease. Recognizing the urgency, the organizations have partnered to kick off The Soul Picnic Week with a Hike and Chill-Fun Day. This event is designed to promote physical activity and nutrition education.

Several chronic conditions have contributed to higher levels of illness within the African American Community. Contributing factors include genetics, poor dieting, family history, and inactivity. "This event reflects our commitment to not only entertaining but also promoting longevity, ensuring a lasting impact across generations," said Jason Kennedy, Co-Founder.
