Marston's story draws awareness to the struggles that family's face helping their child with autism and provides specific steps for healing this Autism Awareness Month

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - ncarol.com -- Everyone experiences happiness and sorrow, anger, joy, fear, surprise, loneliness. Kids on the spectrum feel just as deeply, but they often sound different, have more issues with confidence, and they don't know what comes after "hi," making their ability to focus and succeed in social situations hard. Authors Christine (Chris) Weiss and Dr. Eric Weiss announce the release of their new book "Educating Marston" to help those that care for a child struggling with these emotions, and provide them with a hope for healing.

Educating Marston takes the reader through a range of emotions including the about devotion, determination and commitment to help Marston live his best life. Readers will be educated on the autism spectrum, the therapies to help, and inspired to love and respect those living on the autism spectrum, and the families that are devoted to them. The book is a one-stop shop for anyone wanting a concise guide on where to begin the healing process.  Chris Weiss and Dr. Eric Weiss detail programs like The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential, Vision Therapy, the Tomatis® Method, Marion Blank's approach to reading, hypotherapy, balloon dancing, and their experiences with each, until they discovered stem cell replacement therapy.

"It's taken me twenty years to gather the information in this book – a roadmap of a mother and son's journey with autism. This is my gift back to the world," said author Chris Weiss. "This is a story about human connections that guided me to the right course for my son. Moms and dads of autistic children will certainly relate to the journey.  Aunts, uncles, grandmothers, sisters, brothers, of special needs folks would also benefit because autism is an isolating experience.  The diagnosis is frightening and confusing, being surrounded by family that understands and is there to help is a life line."

In Part two of the book, the reader is introduced to umbilical cord stem cell therapy. Board certified in Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery, co-author Dr. Weiss, is a regional leader in advanced regenerative medicine. He is laser focused on utilizing umbilical cord stem cells to heal his plastic surgery patients and those with wounds from trauma and disease as well as deformities from birth or those acquired through life. Close to his heart is using regenerative therapy to treat autism. He has found great success using stem cell therapy as part of a clinical trial by Duke University for autism. His son, Marston, is on the autistic spectrum and, as a result of this therapy, Dr. Weiss has seen tremendous healing of his condition. Dr. Weiss' goal is to restore wholeness to all patients by using umbilical cord blood stem cells to treat multiple health conditions.

"Umbilical cord blood contains powerful cells with chemical signals that optimize the healing capacity of the human body. They seek out inflamed cells that are old, damaged or injured and use this therapy to restore them," said Dr. Eric Weiss. "Multiple studies demonstrate this cord blood can treat certain conditions successfully in children and adults including autism, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic brain injury and more."

"Stem cell therapy has helped my son in so many ways. Children with autism have inflammation in their brains. Stem cells combat inflammation. When we did stem cell therapy, we saw immediate results. Marston asked questions, he followed conversations he became acutely aware of his surroundings. Marston talked for conversation and not just for directions. Marston was more focused and his memory was spot on. To this day I still hear him use vocabulary words I never thought he knew and in the correct context. The veil was finally lifted and I saw who Marston really was," said Chris Weiss.
