The New Online Magazine That Redefines Midlife One Illustrated Story At A Time
NEW YORK - ncarol.com -- Do you think midlife is boring? Think twice. CrunchyTales.com is the first-ever illustrated online magazine that redefines the idea of midlife in a fresh and playful way.
Based in Manchester (UK), CrunchyTales.com has an international, inclusive and fluid concept and is now branching out in the USA. Launched in December 2018 and powered by a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, the winning formula combines straight-talking news, features, interviews and inspirations from a pool of experts, with gorgeous, eye-catching illustrations by various artists. A message of freedom and irony that wants to inspire women over 40 to break free from old clichés and the tyranny of those glossy and unrealistic pictures showcased in the general media.

The goal is to promote a refreshing diverse narrative about midlife, giving women a compass and the right tools to reboot their life.
"It's all about empowering those late bloomers who, in a time obsessed with youth and haste, decide to take their time and flourish over the years", says the founder and chief-editor Michela Di Carlo. "We believe that midlife is a colourful journey worth exploring to the fullest. We want to encourage women to age playfully rather than gracefully, providing them with an informative, yet colourful platform to keep themselves updated about what's going on in the world making them fully aware of their potentials. Knowledge is power".
No more stereotypical news, but bespoke lifestyle features for those discerning women who aren't afraid to get back in the game, smile at frustration, and embrace life. From how to show off your grey hair proudly to enjoying your curves in a bikini. But also how to take into account late motherhood or a new relationship, embark on a new venture, embrace slow fashion or devote yourself to trekking. And then exclusive insights, real-life stories of ordinary yet extraordinary midlife women and downloadable online guides.

The name of the magazine says it all. "Crunchy means something crispy, something that makes a sharp noise. An invitation for midlife women not to fold in on themselves but to speak out, raise their heads and make their way through life more consciously ", explains journalist Michela Di Carlo. "It's time to embrace our age with a positive attitude for we are evolving rather than disappearing. Midlife is not the beginning of decline: it is the time of privilege and opportunity".
