Weekend event designed to help couples reconnect, grow, and strengthen their relationships
Better Marriages North Carolina, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening couple relationships through education and enrichment, is excited to announce its annual Couples Getaway Retreat, taking place September 20–21, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton RTP in Durham, NC.
This two-day retreat invites married couples from across the state to invest intentionally in their relationships through guided sessions, meaningful conversations, and quality time together. Designed for couples in every stage of marriage, the retreat focuses on enhancing communication, deepening connection, and equipping partners with practical tools to build a stronger, more fulfilling relationship.

Retreat facilitators Michael and Myra Holmes—authors of Fighting for Your Military Marriage and long-time marriage enrichment leaders—will lead couples through interactive workshops, private couple exercises, and community-building activities in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
"This retreat is not about fixing broken marriages—it's about enriching every marriage," said Myra Holmes. "Couples leave feeling refreshed, reconnected, and re-committed to their life together."
