Elevating Excellence with a $100,000 Prize Pool and Expanded Opportunities

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - ncarol.com -- The Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition, the largest US-based Chopin competition, is thrilled to announce its second edition, scheduled for December 2025. Following the resounding success of its inaugural edition in 2023, the competition is expanding its format and offerings, including a $100,000 prize pool, extended age limits for the Artist Division up to 33 years of age, and enhanced opportunities for winners.

Co-directed by Joshua Izzard and Graciella Kowalczyk, the competition has swiftly garnered a reputation as a launchpad for world-class talent. The centerpiece of the second edition is once again the competition's Grand Prix, The Alexei Sultanov Memorial Discovery Prize, named in honor of the unique genius of pianist Alexei Sultanov. This $30,000 prize celebrates Sultanov's remarkable legacy, inspiring a new generation of pianists.

Finalists will perform one of the two Chopin piano concerti with orchestra as the competition expands its format, length, and stature. Beyond cash prizes, winners will also receive concert engagements, professional management opportunities, and further career-advancing initiatives.

The Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition extends its heartfelt gratitude to the generous donors and backers who continue to support the vision of the organization. Their contributions sustain not only the competition but also its wider mission to foster a love for classical music and promote the arts within the Nashville community as it rapidly emerges as a classical piano hub in the United States.

The 2025 edition promises to solidify the Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition as one of the most significant and influential piano competitions launched in recent years, celebrating the enduring legacy of Chopin while paving the way for the next generation of great young musicians.
