RALEIGH, N.C. - ncarol.com -- PBSA is pleased to announce that board member Katie Hartley, Accurate Background, will join the 2023-24 executive committee as Secretary/Treasurer of PBSA.

Katie has been an outstanding member of the PBSA leadership team for many years. She has served in a variety of PBSA roles over the years including the Board of Directors, Advocacy Committee, and the (retired) Communications Committee.

"We're honored to welcome Katie Hartley to the executive committee as Secretary/Treasurer. Katie has made an impact as a dedicated member of PBSA's volunteer network, including committee leadership and on the board of directors. We're looking forward to this next phase of Katie's volunteer journey," says PBSA 2023-24 Chair Chad Ascar.

Joining Katie as Officers for 2023-24 are: Chad Ascar, Cisive, chair; Tim Gordon, InfoMart, chair elect; and Scott Maloney, Omni Data Retrieval, immediate past chair. The new leadership terms began September 10, 2023, during the 2023 PBSA Annual Conference in Grapevine, Texas, U.S.A.

The PBSA Councils (APAC, Canada, Europe, and U.S.) represent a group of members who share a geographic region, each reporting to the PBSA Board of Directors. The 2023-24 Council Leadership teams are led by the following individuals:
  • APAC Council: Shawn Vaswani, HireRight, chair; and Khai Ngo, Accurate Background, chair elect.
  • Canada Council: Lia Chan, First Advantage Canada Inc., chair; Iain Murray, Sterling, chair elect.
  • Europe Council: Alice Quinones, iCover, chair; and Martin Hardy, SP Index, chair elect.
  • U.S. Council: Bobby Shank, Roundstone, Inc., chair; and Jamie Pelchat, General Information Services, chair elect.
