Jacques Cousteau said, "We forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one." Wastewater is part of that water cycle and is long overdue for a re-imagining. Smart system control using AI can be an integral part of that re-imagining platform for operating WW facilities more efficiently, more effectively, and more environmentally responsible. —Stephen Vasconcellos, Ph.D.
In 2007, Dr. Vasconcellos was co-chair of the Coagulants and Flocculants Symposium in Louisville, Ky., and in 2008 was co-chair of the Water Reuse Symposium in Orlando, Fla.
