~ Duke Energy, one of America's largest energy holding companies, has successfully restored power to over 95% of its customers in the Carolinas who were affected by Tropical Storm Debby within just 24 hours of its arrival. The company has reported that more than 510,000 outages caused by the storm have been resolved in the Carolinas.
According to Jason Hollifield, Duke Energy's storm director in the Carolinas, their crews have been working tirelessly and efficiently for over 24 hours to restore power to their customers. He also assured that their response efforts will continue until every single customer has their power back. Hollifield expressed his gratitude towards the patience of their customers and the support from the communities during this challenging time.
As per Duke Energy's estimates, almost all remaining customers who are without service and can receive power should have it restored by today. Customers can check the estimated time of restoration for their specific area on duke-energy.com/OutageMap.
