WINSTON ~ Piedmont Advantage Credit Union (PACU) has announced the promotion of Candice Champe to the position of Vice President of Innovation. This newly-created role will see Champe join PACU's senior leadership team, where she will play a crucial role in advancing the credit union's strategic efforts to combine personalized service with self-service digital offerings.
Champe has been an integral part of PACU's team for 24 years, starting as an IT Technician and working her way up. In her previous role, she was responsible for troubleshooting and resolving IT-related challenges in a timely manner. This experience has shaped Champe into a problem-solver, always seeking out opportunities to find solutions.
Sandy Milton, PACU's Chief Operating Officer, praised Champe's problem-solving instincts and highlighted her leadership during the recent core banking system upgrade. "Candice led this complex project with poise and a matter-of-fact approach," said Milton. "Despite the challenges, she addressed each one in a way that united our team and shifted our focus from dwelling on what should have been done to what can be done moving forward."

Champe expressed her gratitude for the promotion and her excitement for the future. "I am honored to receive this recognition and feel fortunate to be part of an organization that is committed to empowering people to succeed in their roles," she said. "I look forward to continuing to contribute to PACU's future for many more years."
Originally from Kernersville, North Carolina, Champe still resides there with her husband and two daughters. She is deeply rooted in the community and is dedicated to making a positive impact through her work at PACU.
With Champe now taking on this new role as Vice President of Innovation, PACU is confident that she will continue to be a valuable asset to the credit union and its members. Her dedication, problem-solving skills, and commitment to PACU's mission make her a natural fit for this position.
