Next Gen Fibre & netElastic netElastic
YOUGHAL, Ireland - ncarol.com -- Next Gen Fibre, a newly formed Irish broadband provider, today announced it has selected netElastic virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG) and Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT) solutions to power its rapid nationwide expansion. By transitioning to netElastic's software-based technology, Next Gen Fibre has successfully resolved legacy network limitations, paved the way for seamless subscriber growth, and significantly elevated customer satisfaction.

Formed through the strategic merger of regional ISPs MTS Media, Premier Broadband, Bay Area Networks, and C2C Broadband, Next Gen Fibre was created with a mission to deliver high-performance, reliable broadband to both urban and rural communities across Ireland. However, the company's growth was initially constrained by legacy routing equipment, which suffered from capacity bottlenecks, configuration issues, and frequent outages that directly impacted the customer experience.

To build a future-ready network core, Next Gen Fibre required a solution that combined robust subscriber management, efficient IP address conservation via CGNAT, and native integration with their Splynx ISP Billing & Network Management System—all while remaining highly cost-effective. netElastic's integrated vBNG and CGNAT solution perfectly aligned with these requirements.

The deployment was completed rapidly with minimal customization, thanks to seamless Splynx AAA integration and technical assistance from ITcare, a network engineering and managed services provider with deep expertise in netElastic deployments.

Since deployment, Next Gen Fibre has experienced outstanding network stability and performance, resulting in a dramatic drop in customer service inquiries.

"Since adopting netElastic, we've seen a huge reduction in support tickets and phone complaints. Customer satisfaction is at a much higher rate," said Liam Keohan, General Manager at Next Gen Fibre. "As our growth continues, we can now spin up capacity for 5,000 new subscribers in hours instead of weeks."
