The rigorous Travel Leaders of Tomorrow program that Roberts attended gives participants a mix of self-paced study and weekly virtual study groups, combined with lectures from travel industry experts.
Roberts attended Travel Leaders of Tomorrow through the Nexion Veterans in Travel scholarship. Given to a select number of military veterans interested in pursuing a career as an independent travel agent, the scholarship covers Travel Leaders of Tomorrow tuition, the activation fee for Nexion membership, new agent coaching and peer mentorship from a travel agent who is also a veteran.
"Our goal is to give military veterans the tools they need to become a successful independent travel agent," said Heather Kindred, Program Director for Travel Leaders of Tomorrow. "Our graduates are fully prepared with the knowledge and the skills to professionally and successfully serve their clients."
