The rigorous Travel Leaders of Tomorrow program that Roberts attended gives participants a mix of self-paced study and weekly virtual study groups, combined with lectures from travel industry experts.

Roberts attended Travel Leaders of Tomorrow through the Nexion Veterans in Travel scholarship. Given to a select number of military veterans interested in pursuing a career as an independent travel agent, the scholarship covers Travel Leaders of Tomorrow tuition, the activation fee for Nexion membership, new agent coaching and peer mentorship from a travel agent who is also a veteran.

"Our goal is to give military veterans the tools they need to become a successful independent travel agent," said Heather Kindred, Program Director for Travel Leaders of Tomorrow.
