Publication Helps Patients Understand How Their Home Environment May Impact Recovery and Wellness After A Diagnosis

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- A Healthier Home LLC today announced the publication of its newest educational resource, "EnviroVention™: After a Diagnosis, Does Your Home Support Your Health?" The free e-book helps patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals better understand how indoor environmental conditions may influence symptom management, recovery, and overall quality of life following a medical diagnosis.

Written by healthy homes expert Rick Bayless, the publication explores the often-overlooked relationship between health and the home environment. As the founder of A Healthier Home, LLC, Bayless brings a unique multidisciplinary background to the topic. He is certified as a Building Biologist and Environmental Consultant (BBEC) through the Building Biology Institute, a board-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC), a Healthy Homes Specialist (HHS), and a North Carolina-recognized HVAC Journeyman Specialist (JS).

"Most patients leave a medical appointment focused on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes," said Bayless. "Few stop to consider the place where they spend the majority of their time."

Since 2016, Bayless has worked alongside functional and integrative medicine practitioners to help identify environmental factors that may affect patient wellness. He explains that the e-book is not intended to create fear about the home environment, but rather to empower homeowners with practical information and actionable solutions.

The publication introduces readers to the EnviroVention™ approach, a specialized healthy home evaluation that examines a residence through the lens of a specific diagnosis or health concern. Unlike the AHH team's healthy home exams, an EnviroVention™ focuses on environmental factors that may contribute to symptom burden.

"We are entering a time in which environmental health awareness continues to grow among healthcare providers, functional medicine practitioners, and consumers," says Bayless. "Many people are actively searching for more comprehensive approaches to wellness."

Specifically, the e-book addresses environmental challenges unique to Western North Carolina and the Southern Appalachian region and includes practical self-assessment tools.

"Healthy homes are not about perfection," he said. "They're about reducing unnecessary environmental burdens so the body can focus on healing."

The free e-book is now available as a resource for download at https://ahealthierhomenc.com/envirovention-e-book/. The resource is intended for homeowners, patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and anyone interested in improving health through indoor environmental quality.
