Diverse satellite data for directly measured CO₂ and related ecological variables are determined by established scientific methods in contrast to estimation protocols that have been called into question.

Large-scale satellite-based net carbon sequestration project development is driven by directly measured data for carbon tallied on an annual basis. In addition, prior knowledge of sequestered carbon organizes the project development process and may result in carbon offsets and revenue.
