Prolific independent artist channels personal loss, rapid releases, and AI-assisted production into a powerful new statement project
BENSON, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Independent recording artist and producer Craigory Dunn continues his rapid rise with the release of The Craig Nice Report, a new project under his rap persona Craig Nice that directly addresses the growing debate around artificial intelligence in music.
In just a few months, Dunn has become one of the most prolific independent artists in the current landscape, driven by a mission to remove creative limitations and fully realize the music he's carried for years.
That mission was shaped by a deeply personal turning point.
"I had an 'aha' moment after my mother passed on July 19th, 2025. She made it to 63, and I'm grateful. But there were dreams she never fully realized. I know she would want me to go all in on my artistry—especially now that I have access to tools that make it possible."
Since December 29th, 2025, Dunn has released 19 projects spanning albums, EPs, collaborations, and concept-driven releases across multiple genres and creative identities. His work includes collaborations with Dre Barracks, viral records like Happy Smile with Jay Fennell, and releases from collectives such as The Amen Frequency.

Inspired in part by independent artist Russ, known for his consistent weekly release strategy, Dunn began exploring what creativity could look like without traditional barriers.
"I asked myself what happens when the limits are taken off. AI helped answer that. You can release a single weekly—even a full album. The only real limit now is whether you're willing to create."
His latest release, The Craig Nice Report, takes a direct and unapologetic look at AI in music, addressing criticism while offering a grounded response from an artist actively using the technology as a tool.
"There's a lot of strong language being thrown at creators right now. Instead of avoiding it, I wanted to face it head-on and encourage people to keep creating, no matter what anyone says."
With this release, Dunn positions himself not only as a prolific artist, but as a voice in the evolving conversation around creativity, technology, and the future of music.
