3R Technology, known for Managing Surplus IT Equipment, will Assist Families in Need of Laptops in these Pandemic Times

MIAMI - ncarol.com -- Calvetta Phair, Founder of 'The On It Foundation', a National 501 (c)(3) public-non-profit continues to address the pressing need for laptops to assist families requesting technical devices for online learning and remote work during these unprecedented times.

"The ongoing pandemic has resulted in a decreased number of laptops and desktops being donated," Ms. Phair noted. "Computers are needed for remote work and learning, making it more difficult than ever to obtain donations."

To address this need, Ms. Phair is pleased to announce a partnership with 3R Technology, a Seattle-based e-waste recycling company that manages surplus IT equipment, diverting millions of pounds of e-waste each year for their clients. The company offers best-of-class environmentally responsible ITAD, e-waste recycling and secure data destruction – including onsite shredding – for enterprise organizations, data centers, and government entities. 3R Technology will donate to 'The On It Foundation', a portion of proceeds from each laptop purchase based on availability. Individuals may purchase at this link: http://www.jumponitprogram.com/products.html

Founded in 1999, The On It Foundation's mission is dedicated to obtaining free computers that can be distributed to students from low-income families.

"Normally, we are able to gather a greater supply of computers to students in grades K-12 who qualify when they receive free/reduced school lunch, attend a public/home school, and reside in the United States," Ms. Phair said.

"3R Technology will donate a portion of proceeds from each laptop purchase. We give thanks to 3R Technology, which allows 'The On It Foundation' to purchase discounted computers and Internet/Broadband for their recipients through Preferred Vendors."

In addition to their ongoing push for computer devices, 'The On It Foundation' created the first Computer Crowdfunding website 'Get On It Now!' to get corporate sponsorships and donations to purchase laptops for those students seeking a computer for remote learning.

The pace of technological change in today's economy has never been greater, according to The On It Foundation.

"The marketplace in the 21st century will add over 20 million jobs to the American economy. Our mission is to help educate our young people to fill them," Ms. Phair said. "Students without computers and STEM education will not be able to compete academically with other students who have access to technology in the home. The On It Foundation is working to bridge this technology gap through its mission to provide free computers and 21st Century skill sets to underserved households with children in grades K-12 that meet the required income guidelines."
