Cohen grew up in Venice Beach, California, and graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Political Science, then graduated Cum Laude with his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

He has worked full-time from the age of 16 until completion of law school to finance his education in many roles, including as a personal trainer and in hospitality and restaurants.

His many honors and awards include being selected as Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (A.B.O.T.A.)
