As questions about artist identity and AI-generated music intensify, the Detroit-raised, Asheville-based creator connects three new singles with a broader career spanning music, software, financial technology and visual storytelling.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- The music industry is facing a growing identity problem: how can listeners tell who is really behind the music?
Recent industry actions against unauthorized AI-generated tracks and impersonations have pushed questions of authenticity, attribution and artist identity further into the spotlight. For independent artist and producer KayeDinero, the conversation reaches beyond a single song or genre.
KayeDinero is building a multidisciplinary body of work that spans music production, software development, financial technology, authorship, independent media and aerial cinematography. Three recent singles offer different entry points into that work: "Cherokee," released October 1; "MayField," released October 2; and "Born Genius," released October 5.

The releases also reflect the personal history and creative interests behind the artist name.
"MayField" draws from the artist's paternal family history and the spiritual guidance of her grandfather, a central role model. The family maintains an annual reunion, and a 2025 visit to Mayfield, Kentucky, connected the song's inspiration with the family's roots. "Born Genius" adds another title to a catalog shaped by curiosity, identity and the drive to create across disciplines. "Cherokee" continues KayeDinero's exploration of place, heritage and personal storytelling.
The larger point is not that every creator must fit one category. It is that an artist's public identity should reflect the full body of verifiable work—not a narrow label or an automated summary that leaves important context out.
"I'm building across music, technology and visual storytelling because those parts of my life inform one another," KayeDinero said. "I want people to be able to find the work, understand who created it and follow the full picture."
