ASHEVILLE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Experimental composer Zazie Kanwar-Torge brings electroacoustic composition, industrial textures, and immersive sound design to independent horror filmmaking.

Zazie Productions, the independent music and sound art practice of composer Zazie Kanwar-Torge, is expanding its focus on psychological horror film scoring, experimental sound design, and original music for independent cinema.

The announcement follows the presentation of Kanwar-Torge's electroacoustic composition Slippage Beyond the Hyperlink at the 2026 Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria, as part of the MEDIUM SONORUM program.

The composition explores degraded field recordings, manipulated found objects, granular synthesis, synthetic ASMR textures, and corrupted digital signals. These techniques reflect an approach to cinematic sound that emphasizes psychological tension, sensory ambiguity, and immersive auditory environments.

Experimental Horror Film Scoring

Zazie Productions specializes in original music and sound design for psychological horror, folk horror, arthouse cinema, atmospheric thrillers, and unconventional audiovisual projects.

Drawing from industrial music, dark ambient, musique concrète, electroacoustic composition, and avant-garde electronics, Kanwar-Torge creates soundscapes that blur the boundaries between music, environmental sound, and narrative atmosphere.

Rather than relying exclusively on conventional horror scoring techniques, the practice explores distortion, repetition, silence, spatial movement, and unfamiliar sonic textures to shape the viewer's psychological experience.

Independent Composer and Sound Artist

Active as an independent recording artist since 2019, Kanwar-Torge has released more than ten albums and contributed to numerous international experimental music compilations.
