North Jersey Water District contacted The Castle Group and relayed information on a significant problem, the district was losing a million gallons of water a day and requested an inspection and repair of the discharge pipe. The Castle Group recognized the water current was too strong to send a diver and recommended an ROV, a remote-operated vehicle for inspection. After tethering the ROV about 150 feet, The Castle Group found the location of the break in the pipe and estimated 8 hours for the repair. As water is becoming an even more precious resource, The Castle Group repaired the pipe in less than 4 hours, saving the North Jersey Water District from losing about 365 million gallons of water per year.
