RALEIGH, N.C. - ncarol.com -- [Raleigh, NC] –The Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County (HBA) is pleased to announce the formation of a new student chapter of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in partnership with Wake County Public Schools. This exciting development signifies the dedication of members of the HBA's Workforce Development Committee in advocating for trades-based internships, apprenticeships, and professions in the residential construction industry.

Any high school student attending a Wake County public, private, charter or home school is eligible to join. Membership is free and student members will also be a member of NAHB. Membership offers exclusive field trips to job sites, VIP tours, and opportunities to connect with like-minded students and industry professionals. Members also gain access to mentorship and internships to help launch their careers.

I'm excited to be part of the very first county wide NAHB Student Chapter that will help expose high school students (the next generation of homebuilders) to our amazing industry." The Wake County Schools Student Chapter Kickoff event will be Thursday, October 30th from 2-5 p.m. at the HBA Office. Any and all Wake County High School student is invited to attend. We will have pizza/snacks, refreshments, and the Be Pro Be Proud truck on site. We can't wait to see you there! About The Wake County Schools Student Chapter- The homebuilding industry is in dire need of workers and the future is in your hands! For the first time in history a county wide NAHB Student Chapter has been created to help high school students and their parents learn more about the HUGE, high paying job opportunities available homebuilding industry.

About The Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County – The (HBA) represents and promotes the interests of the residential building industry on issues that affect their ability to provide housing that is affordable for all citizens of Wake County.  The association serves as the voice of the residential construction industry at the local, state, and national levels.
