The Greene Fellowship will award two contemporary artists $50,000 each in unrestricted financial support. Applications are now open through January 15th, 2026.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- The Greene Fellowship, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing contemporary art through direct financial support and professional development, is pleased to announce $100,000 in total funding to be awarded to artists in Colorado and Western North Carolina.
In the 2026 award cycle, The Greene Fellowship will select two artists to receive an unrestricted grant of $50,000, supporting their creative practice and the development of their professional careers. Previously a Colorado-exclusive grant, this expansion marks the organization's first year supporting artists in Western North Carolina, broadening its regional impact and commitment to artist sustainability.
In addition to financial support, fellows will receive access to mentorship opportunities, professional development resources, and community-building support, designed to foster long-term growth and connection within the arts ecosystem.

"By expanding into Western North Carolina, we are deepening our commitment to artists working in diverse regional contexts and recognizing the vital role they play in their communities," said Hannah Agosta, Executive Director of The Greene Fellowship. "Our goal is to provide flexible, trust-based funding that allows artists to maintain their autonomy and creative freedom."
Applications are now open and can be submitted through CallforEntry.org.

Greene, The Greene Fellowship's mission is to support visionary artists in the United States in creating meaningful and boundary-pushing work, and to carve spaces for them to share this work within their communities, inspiring creativity and cultural discourse. The fellowship equips artists with the foundational skills and knowledge they need to achieve sustainability in their careers, leading to a richer, more equitable, and resilient arts sector.
