Supernova Digital Animation Festival "World on Fire" to run from Sept. 3 – 25, 2020

DENVER - ncarol.com -- Denver Digerati, the Colorado not-for-profit organization with a principal mission to advance digital motion-art through exhibition and education, announced the 5th annual Supernova Digital Animation Festival, Denver's most innovative public-private cultural initiative. Month-long programming kicks off September 3rd with Night Lights Denver, Supernova artist animations that will light up the historic Daniels & Fisher Clock Tower every evening on the 16th Street Mall. On Saturday, September 19^th, the community is invited to an open-air Walking Tour of the world's best digital animation and motion-art featured on the Denver Theatre District's singular LED screen infrastructure. Supernova is free to the public and adheres to all Colorado guidelines and mandates for outdoor social distancing & safety protocols to provide a unique opportunity for a safe and responsible visual art experience.

Supernova is set to deliver the most expansive slate of digital motion-art to date, representing artists from 28 countries, working in a multitude of genres and global perspectives. Denver Digerati's hybrid live and virtual programming features a partnership with Unity Technologies, the world's most widely used real-time 3D engine, to provide Real-time Storytelling Workshops led by Ben Radcliffe, veteran of Dreamworks Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Disney Feature Animation, MPC, and Industrial Light and Magic. Supernova artist content, interviews and programming will be powered through the state-of-the-art streaming service supernova.video.  Competition prize monies will be awarded to artists and students.
