CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 14, 2023 ~ SPX FLOW's APV division has expanded its range of ATEX and IECEx Control Units (CU) to include Zone 1 and 2 hazardous environments. The new IECEx Control Unit for Zone 2 is designed to fit a variety of sizes and configurations, meeting essential health and safety requirements.
The valve control units are essential for operations in distilleries, breweries and personal care, as they create explosive gases. To ensure safety, the units are built to prevent sparks, flames and the ignition of flammable gases or vapors in hazardous environments. They also meet increased safety standards that provide impact-resistant enclosures for electrical equipment and prevent any ignition risks in hazardous areas. Additionally, they are able to withstand high temperatures and pressures while resisting the corrosive and abrasive nature of food and beverage products.
