This inspirational jewel is created by Sue for the intended purpose to donate 100% of its purchase to the Coastal Humane Society. "The Animals in Art Show is one of my favorite shows. The art is amazing and helps financially distressed pet owners keep and care for their pets. Our wonderful artists have captured the beauty of animals through different media" says owner Melanie Smith. "10% of the proceeds go to the Coastal Humane Society."

The Coastal Humane Society, an all-volunteer non-profit organization is dedicated to ensuring all animals are cared for and no caretaker is forced to give up a pet because of financial hardship. They have helped over 10,000 animals and caretakers in Dare and Currituck counties in North Carolina since 1997.
