Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Justin Llyod Mix, age 41.
On September 18, 2019, Raeford Police Officers were dispatched to an assault behind the Sun Do Gas Station located at 526 Aberdeen Road in Raeford. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Justin Llyod Mix, unresponsive and appeared to have been beaten. He was transported to the local hospital where it was determined that Mr. Mix suffered severe head trauma and was in critical condition. On October 27, 2019, Mr. Mix passed away due to his injuries.
