SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - ncarol.com -- NEMTAC is pleased to announce that it has named Effie Carlson as its new President. Effie, is an innovative healthcare leader who brings to this role a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for positive change within the NEMT industry.
Michael Shabkie, NEMTAC Founder said, "This is a significant moment in the history of our organization. Our board of directors is thrilled to introduce a leader of Effie's caliber as our new President and I am excited for what the future holds under her leadership."
For more than a decade, Effie Carlson has advised and led healthcare teams across growth, operations, contracting, and government/policy. She is currently the chief growth officer for Healthcents, LLC, a niche healthcare consulting and services firm focused on managed care and value-based contracting, market intelligence, and growth strategies. Prior to Healthcents, she served as the EVP of growth for Logisticare (now ModivCare), the largest non-emergency medical transportation benefit management (broker) in the country. It is here she developed her passion for NEMT, became engaged with NEMTAC to support their mission of national standards and accreditation. Prior to LogistiCare, she served as general manager and VP of payer/government relations for Team Select Home Care and national head of provider network at CareCentrix - both national leaders in the post-acute care space.
