RALEIGH, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Life can be challenging, but regardless of our circumstances, there are practical ways to unlock God's blessings. This Q and A session and these simple steps of faith unlock the secrets to receiving His blessings.
Q: How can I continue to prosper regardless of my circumstances?
A: Psalm 1:2-3 tells to remain rooted in God's Word. Staying grounded in His word leads abundance for every good work.
Q: What should my attitude be when I don't seem to be receiving God's blessings?
A: Praise God for all that you have. Don't complain. Don't grumble. Be thankful at all times (Philippians 2:14-15) God is good. In tough times list every good thing you have.
Q: Can sin rob me of God's blessings?

A: Fear the Lord; hate what is evil. Avoid darkness; avoid sin (Proverbs 3:7-8). When we turn back and remain on God's path of right-living, we are walking toward the way of plenty.
Q: Do I have to give to be blessed?
A: When you honor God with your resources your hands are open to receive more from Him (Proverbs 3:9-10). Jesus said give and it will be given to you. The one who uses his talents for others receives more talents.
Q: Does this mean I only have to give to God? Is giving a tenth enough?
A: Giving to others leads to abundance (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). When you give your time, money, and love to your neighbor — and do so with enthusiasm and excitement — you receive back more than you give. Jesus promised your giving would be pressed down and flowing over (Luke 6:38). Give all you want.
Q: MUST I forgive in order to receive God's blessings?

A: Jesus says, "Freely we have received forgiveness; freely we are to give (Matthew 6:14-15, 10:5-8). Jesus also says, "If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." God takes sin seriously. He places so much importance on forgiveness that He sent His Son to die for our sins. When faced with the need to forgive, acknowledge any hardness in your heart and ask the Holy Spirit to change your heart. Let Jesus' Spirit do the hard work. In time you will find His forgiveness flowing through you. With a transformed heart, then forgive others.
