Mrs Elemental® USA National Competition is set to take place from January 15th-19th, 2025, at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - ncarol.com -- The highly anticipated Mrs Elemental® USA National Competition is set to take place from January 15th-19th, 2025, at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center, where the next queens will be crowned.
Mrs Elemental® USA, (formerly Mrs USA Earth), is dedicated to empowering, celebrating, and showcasing the beauty, intellect, and accomplishments of married women across the nation. The competition aims to foster personal growth, advocate for environmental sustainability, and inspire positive change. Open to all women from across the fifty states, DC and five territories will compete for the coveted title of Mrs Elemental® USA during a week filled with competitions and environmental initiatives.
We are excited to announce the prestigious panel of national judges, who will have the honor of selecting the next Mrs Elemental® USA queen and her court during this year's competition.
Ed Gordon
Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Ed Gordon is known for his hard-hitting, inspiring, and direct approach to journalism. He is the president of Ed Gordon Media and a CBS News contributor, and he currently serves as a special correspondent for the BET/CBS program America in Black. In 2024, Gordon made headlines after his interview with President Joe Biden, which preceded Biden's decision not to seek a second term. Gordon is also the author of the best-selling book Conversations in Black and the host of the nationally syndicated radio program Weekend with Ed Gordon. He has had numerous impactful interviews, including with Oprah Winfrey, Sidney Poitier, and Whoopi Goldberg. He gained recognition at BET, where he hosted and anchored news programs like BET News and Conversation with Ed Gordon. Gordon has covered historic events like the 2008 presidential election, Nelson Mandela's freedom, and the murder of George Floyd. His interview portfolio includes figures like Presidents Obama and Clinton, Denzel Washington, and Minister Louis Farrakhan. He has been honored with many awards, including the NAACP Image Award and the National Association of Black Journalists' Journalist of the Year Award.

Khia Moon Smith
Khia Moon Smith is a Virginia Beach-based pageant director, judge, coach, and former competitor. After competing in the Ms. United States pageant and placing top five in multiple circuits, she transitioned into entrepreneurship, launching the eco-friendly accessory brand K. Cimóne and the consulting firm Style Syndicated. As a former state director for Miss Earth USA, she led titleholders to top finishes, including a national winner. In 2023, she rebranded Mrs USA Earth to Mrs Elemental® USA, now part of Elemental International Pageants. Khia has been featured in ACHI Magazine, where she was named 2021 Orator of the Year and received multiple nominations, as well as Inside Business Magazine's Top 40 Under 40.
Rosanna Tran
Rosanna Tran is an accomplished philanthropist, pageant director, and former reality star from TLC's "So Freakin Cheap." She has over 15 years in pageantry, earning titles such as Mrs. World Peace America and Citrus International Lifetime Queen. As co-director of the Model4Miracles Charity Fashion Show, she helped raise over $150,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Rosanna is also a dedicated volunteer with organizations like Give Kids the World and Second Harvest Food Bank. Known as the "Financial Diva," she transitioned from a 30-year fashion career to finance, where she helps families achieve financial freedom.
R. Scott French
Scott French is a seasoned fashion professional with experience in retail, wholesale, design, and production. He designed his own label from the late 1980s until 2009 and currently serves as editor-in-chief of TheFashionList.com, a digital magazine covering global high fashion. In 2020, he co-founded VERY New York, a fashion events and relations agency that produces runway shows and charity galas, raising millions annually for nonprofits. Scott is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and has appeared on Bravo, NBC, Fox News, and more. His work has been featured in seven books, including American Fashion and IMPACT: 50 Years of the CFDA. In 2024, he published Donald J Pliner: The Selling of One's Sole, a biography of the renowned shoe designer.

Lindsay Shockey
Lindsay Shockey is an accomplished interior designer and pageant coach, currently serving as Director of Interior Design for Dynamik Interiors in Atlanta, overseeing multi-family and student housing projects. She is also a successful pageant coach, with her students winning state and local titles as well as high-point interview awards. Lindsay herself has held titles in the USA, USOA, and Earth/Elemental systems. In 2023, she was crowned the inaugural Mrs Elemental® USA Fire and represented Georgia in the Mrs Elemental® USA pageant (formerly Mrs USA Earth). With a passion for sustainable design, her platform, Sustainability SHOCK, promotes eco-friendly building and lifestyle practices.
Mrs Elemental® USA National competition judges are responsible for judging interview segments and competition areas distinguishing the contestant's personality, interview skills, interpretive ability, quality of the talent presented including swim, gown, and onstage performances.
