The Mensa Foundation's annual Colloquium, whose theme this year is Giftedness Across the Lifespan: Giftedness in the Workplace, will take place July 2 in Kansas City.

Dr. Jae Yup Jared Jung, a distinguished Professor at the University of New South Wales, specializes in understanding the decision-making processes of gifted individuals, particularly focusing on career choice and development. With a keen interest in unraveling the motivational and cultural factors shaping these decisions, Dr. Jung's research provides invaluable insights into guiding gifted individuals toward fulfilling career paths.
Joi Lin is a dedicated advocate for gifted individuals who serves as the Director of Professional Education at the Gifted Development Center and holds an adjunct professor position at the University of Denver. Additionally, she chairs the Mensa Foundation's Education and Gifted Youth Committee, contributing significantly to empowering gifted individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Deborah L. Ruf is a distinguished academic with over 30 years of experience specializing in intelligence and giftedness assessment, interpretation, and guidance. Dr. Ruf is known for her expertise in addressing the social and emotional needs of gifted individuals across the lifespan.

The Mensa Education and Research Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity focused on understanding and empowering intelligence and giftedness in society at large. While associated with the high-IQ society American Mensa, the Foundation is its own separate entity. Its first Colloquium was held in October 1982, and the purpose of the event remains the same today as it was four decades ago: to offer a forum for individuals interested in exploring, debating, evaluating, and offering judgment on major issues of long-range importance to society.
