The American Association of Bariatric Counseling (AABC) is a US Federal not-for-profit Professional International Fellowship Association dedicated to the advancement of bariatric science education and to the enhancement of obesity care and treatment.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Linda L. Williams, MSW, LCSWA, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Charlotte, NC has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science she was recently credentialed as a Board Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Linda received her Master's Degree in Psychology from Perdue Global University as well as a Master's Degree in Social Work from Edinboro University. She is the founder of Free Your Mind Consulting LLC located in Charlotte, North Carolina that provides a safe space for clients to achieve freedom from anything that has prohibited their growth. As a Certified Bariatric Counselor, she specializes in therapeutic treatment of the biopsychosocial implications of obesity. Her treatment modalities target difficult chronic problems that address the synthesis of mental health and physical health.

Recognition of the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led to her fellowship with AABC. Because of her commitment to bariatric care and public health AABC awarded her an academic scholarship.

Her compassionate commitment to bariatric therapeutic care and treatment, as well as her professional accomplishments and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment and prevention of obesity and related disorders.

Linda resides in Charlotte North Carolina with her wife and two children. She recharges by traveling, gardening, and spending time with her loves.
