As a Certified Bariatric Counselor, she specializes in therapeutic treatment of the biopsychosocial implications of obesity. Her treatment modalities target difficult chronic problems that address the synthesis of mental health and physical health.

Recognition of the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led to her fellowship with AABC. Because of her commitment to bariatric care and public health AABC awarded her an academic scholarship.
