BOTHELL, Wash., April 10, 2025 ~ Leviton's Network Solutions Business Unit has recently completed a $25 million expansion project at its manufacturing facility in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. The project, which began in 2022, has effectively doubled the size of the facility to meet the growing demand for Leviton's fiber optic cabling solutions.

The company held a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 9, 2025 to celebrate this milestone achievement. Among those in attendance were Leviton executives, local government officials, and employees from the Fuquay-Varina location.

According to Daryoush Larizadeh, President and CEO of Leviton, this expansion is a testament to the company's commitment to growth and success. "We are very proud of the work our team did to make this project happen," he stated. "Leviton's Network Solutions business unit is crucial to our future growth and success."

Larizadeh also expressed his confidence in the continued demand for fiber optic cabling systems in various industries such as commercial enterprises, data centers, and industrial environments. "We expect this demand to grow for many years as we support bandwidth-intensive applications like AI and Augmented Reality," he added.

Leviton has a long history in North Carolina dating back to 1965 and currently operates three factories in the state. The local government officials have been supportive throughout the expansion process and Leviton recognizes the skilled workforce in the area as essential for their success.

Ross Goldman, Chief Operations Officer of Leviton Network Solutions and Chief Sustainability Officer of Leviton, emphasized the strategic importance of this investment for their global division. "Doubling the size of our North Carolina factory not only allows us to support our US-based customers but also enables us to effectively meet demand from outside the US," he explained.

The ribbon cutting event was attended by Fuquay-Varina Mayor Blake Massengill who expressed gratitude towards Leviton for their commitment to investing in the region. "The Town of Fuquay-Varina is grateful for Leviton's investment, which will have far-reaching benefits for our local economy and the state as a whole," he said.

Mayor Massengill also highlighted the town's skilled workforce and business-friendly environment as factors that attracted Leviton to choose Fuquay-Varina as the site for their expanded facility.

Leviton's global fiber optic cabling systems can be found on their website, leviton.com/ns. With this expansion, the company is well-equipped to meet the growing demand for their products and continue to support IT networks in the US and around the world.
