Lauren is a prolific, inspired creator of multiple modes. Her most recent book, Hannibal Lokumbe – coauthored with the leading orchestral composer and jazz legend Hannibal Lokumbe – was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, and National Book Critics Circle Award.
