Jahkil Jackson's charity organization "Project I Am" is set to reach a milestone on its 7th year anniversary.
LOS ANGELES - ncarol.com -- Jahkil Jackson's charity organization "Project I Am" is set to reach a milestone on its 7th year anniversary. Over the past 7 years, Jahkil and his organization have created and distributed over 90,000 blessing bags that helped the unhoused community of 65 U.S cities and 7 countries around the world. Project I Am has over 2,500 youth volunteers and over 250 schools engaged in helping Jahkil see his vision come to life by helping those in need. Together, they raised $400,000 that goes directly to the social services they provide globally.
Jackson's efforts to mobilize youth to engage in achieving major social objectives, including employment creation, poverty reduction, inclusion and integration, was recognized by President Obama and the Obama Foundation making Jahkil "one of three most influential people of 2017"
The Foundation is also famous for partnering with well known brands like Nike, The Gap, Invisalign, Footlocker, and recently Crate & Barrel. With whom he designed a limited edition pillow collection, released exclusively on the Crate & Barrel website. A portion of the proceeds from those sales will go to help the unhoused community and those in need to receive fundamental items that will help them while they are on the streets.
