Celebrating Excellence in Nursing, Leading Nurse Triage Company Grants Its Annual Award Recognizing Outstanding Performance and Dedication
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - ncarol.com -- IntellaTriage, the nation's leading provider of nurse-first hospice and home health triage solutions, proudly announces Kaylie Peters, RN, as the 2023 Nurse of the Year. Chosen by the CEO from previous Employee of the Month recipients in collaboration with the IntellaTriage leadership team, this honor is bestowed at the beginning of each year upon the nurse who best exemplified the values and mission of IntellaTriage throughout the previous year. This prestigious accolade also considers year-long metrics such as quality of care, clinical skill, and client scope. The achievement was awarded internally earlier this year and is now being announced publicly. In addition to this honor, Kaylie received a 4-day trip for two to the location of her choice, including airfare, hotel accommodations, and activities. Kaylie selected Marco Island, Florida, as her destination and traveled with her husband and their nine-month-old child.
Throughout the year, IntellaTriage leadership recognizes outstanding nurse performance by selecting an Employee of the Month. Nurses honored as Employee of the Month become eligible for the Nurse of the Year award. Kaylie, having been named Nurse of the Year in January 2024, embarked on her well-deserved trip to Marco Island in late May. She and her family enjoyed various activities, including mini golf in a tropical setting, visiting a unique zoo with lush landscapes, and exploring the town's lagoon teeming with tiny crabs. Highlights included a sunset dinner on a floating dock, indulging in tropical seafood and drinks, and witnessing the breathtaking sight of hundreds of white birds flying over the ocean on their last morning.

Kaylie's performance in 2023 was exceptional. She answered over 1,500 calls with only one incident and no attendance issues. Kaylie's first-call resolution rates were above average, and she maintained an average scorecard score of 91 throughout the year. Beyond the metrics, Kaylie has been a positive and stabilizing force on her nurse triage team, working through challenges and embracing successes. Her patience with trainees, willingness to assist during shift shortages, and consistent treatment of patients like family highlight her dedication and excellence.
IntellaTriage CEO Daniel Reese commented on Kaylie's achievement: "Kaylie has been an outstanding member of our team over the past three years. Her performance in 2023 was remarkable, not only in numbers but in her positive influence on her team. Kaylie epitomizes the qualities we want in an IntellaTriage nurse – compassion, reliability, and excellence in patient care."
Kaylie Peters also shared her thoughts on the recognition: "I am incredibly humbled and honored to receive this recognition. This remote role has been a tremendous blessing at this stage of my life and nursing career. I have learned so much as a triage nurse, serving patients and families experiencing a wide range of emotions and striving to provide a voice of kindness and empathy. I am privileged to work with such talented nurses on Team 9 and dedicated staff across the country. I look forward to another year of growth and excellence at IntellaTriage."
