Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, which strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger, receives over $3,000.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- For the third year in a row, Henderson Properties, Charlotte's premiere full-service real estate company, continues its support of the Second Harvest Food Bank with its annual food/fund drive.
This year, Henderson Properties collected donations from staff and community members from December 1st to December 25th, raising more than $3,000 for the Second Harvest Food Bank's mission to support needy families in North and South Carolina and to restock supplies for the coming months.
Phil Henderson, President of Henderson Properties, announced, "We are thrilled with the tremendous amount of support people in our communities are offering, especially during the holiday season when many people—especially among those in our most vulnerable communities—continue to face economic difficulty. It's great to see so many individuals come together with their contributions.

"We are pleased to be working with the Second Harvest Food Bank and impressed by their amazing buying power. For every dollar that is contributed, Second Harvest can turn that into seven pounds of food for those in need," continues Henderson.
"We plan to carry on the tradition of our biannual food/fund drives for many years to come. We feel it's our responsibility as community members to give something back and offer support where it's needed. We are more powerful when we work together."
