SALISBURY, N.C. - ncarol.com -- F&M Bank is excited to announce the promotions of Tonya Barber and Tim Proper to Executive Vice President.

Formally trained as a detective with the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, Tonya started as the Bank's Security Officer and ascended to leadership roles in deposit operations, electronic banking, information technology, cyber security and now credit operations. Tonya has contributed greatly in her role as Senior Operations Officer, managing the Bank's Operations Center.
In keeping with F&M Bank's tradition of community engagement, Tonya is a contributing member of the Bank Management Committee and has a long list of community involvement including the Rowan-Cabarrus YMCA and Special Olympics.

Similarly, Tim serves as a recognized community leader for the Bank's civic functions in Salisbury and surrounding areas, including the Rowan Economic Development Corporation, and the Historic Salisbury Foundation Board. He is also a contributing member of the Bank Management and Corporate Management Committee.
"Tim is a quality banker with a wealth of knowledge, proven by his ability to develop innovative business opportunities," said Fisher.
Tim received his undergraduate degree in finance and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He offers vast expertise with nearly 30 years of banking experience. Committing the past 15 years to serving our clients at F&M Bank, Tim has made significant contributions in his role as Senior Commercial Banking Officer, managing the Bank's commercial banking function.
