"Families and friends eat, dance, and cheer. Tomorrow these will be memories of yesteryear."
—Prince Dustin and Clara: Deep in the Black Forest (Screenplay, 2024)

DALLAS - ncarol.com -- It was midnight at Stahlbaum Manor. A young girl, Clara, tip-toed into the parlor after her family's Christmas party.  She was unaware that a battle was about to wage.  A fight between good and evil. Nor was she aware that she would be transported to a land far, far away.  Yes… it's the magical holiday classic, The Nutcracker!

The Nutcracker
ballet continues to be a family favorite for its exquisite dancers, brilliant musical compositions, and touching performances by its tiniest dancers, some as young as six years. In Act One, the teeny sword-wielding soldiers fight off the wicked mice. Forget form and technique. It is all about fun, as the sound of pitter-patter is heard from little feet running from stage left to stage right.

Many productions cast over one-hundred children for roles in the Party Scene, Battle Scene, and, also, as Bonbons with Mother Ginger. The competition is quite stiff. The Party Scene requires the best-skilled dancers.  Sometimes, girls are cast in boy roles, depending on how many qualified boys audition. Anxiously, all dancers await opening night! LIGHTS!   ACTION!

"There is no limit to what a person can do that has been inspired by The Arts!"

To complement the live performance of The Nutcracker, Fossil Mountain Publishing presents a reimagining of the beloved fairy tale. The Prince Dustin and Clara trilogy is a fantasy adventure set in the mythical and magical Black Forest.

Book Summary:  Prince Dustin and Clara: Legends of the Black Forest, Book Three

They only have one chance!
Prince Dustin and Clara have until the full moon rises. If they fail, the lands Deep in the Black Forest will be overtaken by the Dark Forces. Wizard Herr Drosselmeyer was able to contain the wicked and ghastly creatures for a century. However, his spell has now been broken, and the dreadful monsters have been released.

The Snow Queen soon realizes that their dark magic is even more powerful than Drosselmeyer's. The noble queen is out of options to defeat the Dark Forces. 13-year-old Clara, Prince Dustin, and Princess Sugar Plum, a tree fairy, will have to battle a sinister and haunting power before they can save the kingdoms in the forest. However, it might already be too late!
