"On the other hand, it may be more economical for some makes and models to pay for a replacement engine than it is to pay an hourly fee for an engine program. And, of course, the cost of an aircraft not enrolled in an engine program is likely to be less than one that is," Jennings noted.

The market for pre-owned jets is overheated with too many prospective buyers looking for a shrinking number of available aircraft.
