Belkasoft Logo iOS Brute Force Capability Android Screen Capture Feature Mobile Device Workflow
Belkasoft Evidence Center X version 1.10 can brute-force passcode from iOS devices, screen capture any application on Android

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - ncarol.com -- Belkasoft, a digital forensics technology company, has released version 1.10 of its Belkasoft Evidence Center X (Belkasoft X) product for digital forensics and incident response investigations. The new release has a number of new features to help investigators extract and analyze digital evidence from computers and mobile devices, including a brute-force passcode feature that can determine the passcode for a range of iOS devices.

"A locked iOS device can be a severe problem for an investigation because even with sophisticated acquisition types like checkm8, an investigator will only get a limited amount of data," said Yuri Gubanov, CEO of Belkasoft. "Using the brute-force passcode feature in Belkasoft X, investigators can quickly find the passcode, unlock the device, and access more data for their investigation."

Belkasoft X also includes improvements for collecting evidence from Android devices, namely the Android screen capture feature. This function automatically captures screenshots of any Android application, so investigators can acquire data from the device in a forensically sound manner and retrieve information that is not included in a standard Android backup file.

In addition, the latest release uses a simplified workflow for collecting mobile device evidence. When a device is connected, easy-to-understand prompts guide investigators through the process so they can quickly select the device make, model, and available methods to acquire the data from that specific device. This streamlines device acquisition and reduces confusion about which acquisition types are available, so investigators can be confident they are using forensically sound processes to collect digital evidence.

Belkasoft X is a reliable, all-in-one digital investigation software for mobile forensics, computer forensics, and cloud forensics. For more information on all the new features in Belkasoft X version 1.10, visit https://belkasoft.com/new. To start a free trial, visit https://belkasoft.com/get.
