There is a magical place near Lower Lake, California, Hidden up in the hills northeast of San Francisco, northwest of Sacramento. Dandelion Farm is that special place …… You arrive here and the MAGIC takes hold of you ….. Dandelion Farm!!

LAKEPORT, Calif. - ncarol.com -- NEWS RELEASE - After more than 44 years in development of Dandelion Farm and Great Swan Peace Shrine, it is time to invite the World to Lake County to see this marvel. We are finally opening our doors to the public so that they may discover what we have been doing "down on the farm".

There is nothing like Dandelion Farm anywhere else in the World. The original inspiration came in 1979 to give our all as a gift to the world. With Intention+Focus+Commitment+Time we achieved this CREATION. Our body of art is continually growing using various artistic media such as galvanized structural steel, welding, mosaic, painting, sculpture, shotcrete and more. Candace and Loren Stolley have created this masterful installation here in Lake County that is guaranteed to inspire …..

Each of the more than 50 art pieces and installations has their own story to tell.  Below are three of the many installations that will be seen:

The Shrine - is dedicated to World Peace. It is painstakingly handmade and built out of galvanized welded steel art, shotcrete, re-bar, and an airform shell. What we call "Great Swan" is one of the most amazing things you will ever see.  It was inspired by an exquisite vision in 2000 that just had to be brought to life.

The Bath House - built out of Cob (a mixture of clay, sand and straw)  is one of the many natural buildings that exist on Dandelion. This was our first experiment with this simple sustainable building technique.

Farmers Dream Gate - is made up of old farm things that were lying around the farm. There is no end to how one can be creative with recycling old stuff into new forms of expression ……. One man's junk is another man's treasure!

Hundreds of wonderful people from around the world have contributed their time and effort to this ongoing project that continues to grow year by year. Other artists will bring their art and grow what we offer to the world.

Dandelion Farm is non-profit that has been working toward sustainability utilizing organic and down home techniques for the last 44 years.
