Nonprofit Launches DDAAT-App! National Suicide Prevention & School Safety Coalition - An Alliance of Community & Organizations for Collaborative Solutions Selects Charlotte as Creating Innovative-Intervention Cities Summit's 1st Stop

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Flourish Foundation Project Inc, DBA DDAAT-App! (TM) National Suicide Prevention & School Safety Coalition is a federally recognized nonprofit organization taking the lead in combating the national youth suicide crisis and the surging frequency of school shootings.

Founder, Chanda L. Spates, established the DDAAT-App! after her own son's suicide attempt brought to light many challenges of siloed resources, Spates,  through MOUs and collaboration agreements has united over 50 organizations and educational & research institutions across the nation each committed to leveraging collaboration, technology, and community engagement for actionable solutions for suicide prevention.

The DDAAT-App! The Charlotte-headquartered nonprofit cited, 2019 to 2023 CDC reports highlighting Charlotte's unfortunate distinction of having the highest suicide rate among teens and young adults in the state and the overwhelming support of local parents, small business, and local mentoring & mental health services  providers among the people of this genuinely caring community as a deciding factor in selecting Charlotte as the summit's first stop.

The urgency of this issue cannot be overstated. With 2023 marking the highest recorded numbers of suicide and mass shootings in history, Charlotte is poised to lead the nation in suicide prevention, setting a collaborative approach, and netting groundbreaking innovations which extend far beyond city limits.
