AATH invites the community to laugh for world peace on May 4th at its annual conference – no experience required!

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- In celebration of World Laughter Day, the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor (AATH) is opening its conference doors to the Charlotte community for a one-of-a-kind public event: "Don't Leave Laughter to Chance – Apply It!"

Join us on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 10:00am at the Hilton Charlotte University Place for a joyful and uplifting Laughter Yoga session.  No yoga mats or experience required – bring an open mind and a willingness to laugh!

Laughter Yoga is a powerful practice that blends intentional laughter with deep breathing to help relieve stress, boost your mood, and even support healing.  Research shows that even 15 minutes of laughter can trigger the body's natural "feel-good" chemistry.  "Laughter is one of the fastest ways to trigger our own natural healing," says Cathy Grippi, session leader and certified Laughter Yoga instructor.

Whether you're curious about laughter wellness or just want to try something new, this free session is a perfect way to connect, laugh, and feel great.
