North Carolina A&T Alumni Unveils #CDKCares Mentorship Initiative with Vision Board Party at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School

RALEIGH, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Christian Kornegay, widely known as CDK on The Mic, a distinguished multimedia journalist and the #1 ranked HBCU host in the nation, is thrilled to unveil his groundbreaking mentorship initiative, #CDKCares. The launch event will kick off with a vision board party hosted by CDK at his alma mater, Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, on January 31st.

In response to recent challenges faced by students on campus, including instances of violence and controversy, CDK remains steadfast in his commitment to being a beacon of hope for the community. This initiative builds upon his previous philanthropic endeavors, where he donated book sale proceeds to support a student's college journey, marking a continuation of CDK's impactful community outreach.

The vision board party will serve as the inaugural event for a hands-on mentorship program designed for black male students aspiring to pursue higher education. A graduate of North Carolina A&T, CDK aims to break barriers in higher education and empower individuals to transform their passion into purpose.

"As an alum of Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, I chose to launch the mentorship program here because this institution shaped my journey. Returning to my roots, I hope to provide students with the inspiration they need to overcome challenges, embrace their uniqueness, and turn their dreams into reality," said CDK.

CDK's journey from overcoming a learning disability to becoming a prominent figure in the media industry is chronicled in his book, "Building A Brand By Using Your Gift." Through this book, he encourages personal growth and self-acceptance, inspiring readers to leverage their talents for success.

As the top-ranked HBCU host in the nation and the exclusive content curator for Hip Hop DX and DTLR Radio, CDK not only connects with diverse audiences but also provides a platform for rising artists to shine.

Beyond the airwaves, CDK's dedication to advocacy extends to collaborating with educational institutions and community initiatives, championing the cause of individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues. Serving as a role model, CDK on the Mic motivates others to pursue their passions and break down barriers.
