HSPI 2027 is set for Feb. 9-11 in Orlando, FL HSPI Intensives provide hands-on activities. Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers
NORCROSS, Ga. - ncarol.com -- While innovation in industries can lead to greater production and bottom lines, in healthcare it provides a more vital benefit: Better patient outcomes that save lives.

Those ideas will be on display at the Healthcare Systems Process Improvement Conference Feb. 9-11 at Embassy by Hilton in Orlando, Florida, sponsored by the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers and Society for Health Systems.

The three-day event includes practitioners from medical providers and researchers from academia presenting their many concepts for improving the processes that impact healthcare delivery.

Abstract submissions are underway for those interested in sharing their work. The deadline for submission is Sept. 18; visit iise.org/HSPI/abstracts for full details.

Presentation formats include standard, one-day workshops, Intensives and poster displays.

The Intensive sessions in particular are popular among attendees. They include interactive discussions, development of action plans and valuable insights from industry experts.

"I'm loving the conference. I've learned so much," said 2026 conference attendee Kolu Wynne of Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center. "I've been to so many different kinds of workshops and Intensives. It's been a great time."

"I really enjoyed, going to one of the Intensive sessions. It was cognitive empathy for performance improvement and it was such a wonderful presentation," said Ayla Julien-Vinuela of the University of South Florida. "It was really great seeing that side that's really human, especially with all of the talk about AI."
