CLAREMONT, N.C. ~ CommScope and Boldyn Networks Partner to Bring Wi-Fi 7 to Camping World Stadium
In a joint effort, global network connectivity leader CommScope and leading neutral host provider Boldyn Networks have announced the deployment of Wi-Fi 7 indoor access points at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. This marks the first use of Wi-Fi 7 in a major stadium, providing an enhanced fan experience for events and games held at the 65,000-seat venue.
Boldyn's US CEO Christos Karmis expressed excitement about the deployment, stating that Wi-Fi 7 will revolutionize the way fans engage and experience events at Camping World Stadium. With its superior speed, capacity, reliability, and low latency, Wi-Fi 7 opens up opportunities for an evolved fan experience.
The results of the deployment have shown a significant increase in throughput by 60% with Wi-Fi 7 compared to areas with Wi-Fi 6E. The new technology boasts speeds reaching up to 900Mbps and is over four times faster than previous generations. Additionally, latency has been drastically reduced by 75%, making it ideal for introducing new use cases such as augmented reality and real-time entertainment.
