Defense pressure vessels manufactured by BEPeterson - Cage code 3EB40
AVON, Mass. - ncarol.com -- BEPeterson is proud to announce that we have been awarded another contract to manufacture 30 replacement air flask vessels from the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP). The air flasks will be installed on Henry J. Kaiser class replenishment oilers currently serving the United States Atlantic Fleet. This class of ships is operated by Military Sealift Command (MSC) and provides underway replenishment of supplies, provisions and fuel for US Navy ships and aircraft aboard aircraft carriers at sea. These ships have the capability of refueling and replenishing from either side of the ship and can replenish two ships simultaneously if needed.
The air flask vessels manufactured by BEPeterson include both ASME & ABS Marine Certifications. Each vessel measures 20 inches in outer diameter with a 2-inch wall thickness and 91-1/2 inches in overall length, constructed from durable carbon steel. To ensure maximum durability and operational integrity, the vessels undergo a specialized multi-stage paint coating process, which includes a zinc primer and a multipart epoxy coating. All materials are DFARS compliant, and all butt-weld seams require full Radiography, ensuring high quality welding and operational success.
