A highly scalable TR-369/USP (User Service Platform) Controller add-on supporting millions of concurrent USP Agents
MUNICH - ncarol.com -- Axiros, a leader in TR-069/TR-369, Unified Device Management, and zero-touch customer experience solutions, announced its launch of version 2.8 of the AX USP Controller (and associated tools).
This latest update introduces a preview release of a new innovative scalable MQTT client service, designed to enhance the capabilities of the USP Controller when using the MQTT Message Transport Protocol (MTP). It is pivotal in building a robust service cluster that offers load-balancing and high-availability for the AX USP Controller, similar to what we have always provided for the WebSocket MTP, but for MQTT using any third-party MQTT broker. Releasing it as a preview will allow our customers to gain experience with this new approach before it will eventually replace our current MQTT client implementation.

Some other notable changes in this release are:

USP/TR-369 has been designed and built as an evolution of TR-069 from the Broadband Forum - leveraging all the experience and knowledge from the past. It represents the new industry standard for Device Management. The Axiros USP Controller is a high-performance, scalable solution that helps service providers to manage and monitor a high number of connected devices.

- More flexibility in the TLS configuration for logging
- API endpoint to add per-Agent metadata included with forwarded notifications
- New utility functions for the notification handler to work with dates and time
- Upgrades of dependencies and general optimization
- Removal of the deprecated notification handler "kafka-redis"
