Since Gov. Phil Murphy signed the first US state law requiring hotels with more than 100 rooms to provide employees such as housekeepers with the devices, a measure of protection for people who work alone. Many hotels in NJ is now gearing up installation of this requirement to meet the January, 2020 deadline.
